The second day keynote was by Marissa Mayer, VP, Search and User Experience. It's amazing how much testing Google does on how it interacts with users. They'll test the amount of white space between the Google logo and search results. One thing they mentioned I think I knew but forgot is that when you do a search on Google it takes about 0.25 seconds and will have used between 700 and 1,500 computers in several data centers.
The first thing I noticed were bean bag chairs, pool tables, foosball tables, etc. in the lobby outside the meeting rooms. And WiFi everywhere. I don't remember being at a conference with more notebook computers, and no one was having any problem getting on-line. Oh and the keynote speakers were wearing jeans and casual shirts.

Due to overwhelming demand, customers visiting www.laplink.com may have encountered difficulties in downloading their free copy of PCmover.
Laplink wants to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity to receive a copy of PCmover and qualify for the prize giveaway; therefore we have decided to temporarily extend the promotion.
Even if you don't think you need/want PC-Mover, I suggest you download it and install it on your PC. It will be there, waiting, for that day when you decide to upgrade to a new computer and need help moving your settings and applications to it.
